Month Five: A feeling frenzy

Audrey is more and more interactive every day. She smiles all the time, unless she is hungry or sleepy. She is getting more independent too. She loves to just sit and watch everything going on around her. Watching people talk seems to fascinate her and if you don't watch out soon she'll have your lips in her hands. She is surprisingly strong!

Weight: 17 lbs (best guess, since we haven't been to the doctor)

Firsts: Spent two nights away from Mom in Houston, tastes of real food (carrots, peas and sweet potatoes) which weren't a big hit...maybe next month.

New Talents: Squealing with excitement, grabbing Buddy's fur and trying to shove it in her mouth, talking herself to sleep.

Sleep: Trying to cut out middle of the night feedings, but some nights are more successful than others.

Favorite Things: Audrey loves her Baby Einstein activity center. She's been having so much fun exploring all the new toys. She's also starting to pay attention to books at story time.

Favorite Moment:
Julie - "I gave Audrey a huge smooch on the cheek and she squealed and smiled. It was so wonderful to see her face light up."
Wesley - "I walked into get her from day care today and her face lit up when she saw me. It was the first time I think she recognized me when I came to pick her up."
