Well as usual things don't always go as planned. After an induction that started the night of December 19th (at eight days over due), and four hours of active labor Audrey's heart beat had dropped significantly and the doctors were worried. The decision was made to have a c-section ASAP. About 15 minutes later Audrey was born, December 20th at 12:36 PM.

The NICU team was there when Audrey was born and worked on her for about 25 minutes in the OR while Julie got stitched up. Audrey proved her lungs were working just fine by screaming the whole time. Finally, Julie got to see her when the surgery was over.
